Brushing Teeth = Gagging

Every time I go to brush my teeth I gag without fail.  Its not just the brushing of my tongue but just having the toothpaste in my mouth.  I never gag when I am not pregnant so it has to be a symptom but my oral hygiene is suffering.  I need to go buy some mouthwash.  I hope it gets better!!!

The good news is my morning sickness is really non existent.  With Olivia I was throwing up all the time and I lost 10lbs since I just couldnt eat.

It’s a good sign- I was like that with my one and only successful pregnancy. So happy for you! 🙂

One of my best friends had this problem- she swore by mint lifesavers during her first trimester!

  3. Yep. sounds like all my friends. i had it a little but not too bad.

  4. Yep. Such a strange symptom but teeth brushing made me gag too. Maybe you could try using baking soda on your toothbrush instead of toothpaste to see if that helps.

Mouthwash and gum were my lifesavers during first trimester.
