My MFM appt!!!

So my OB recommended that I see my MFM to come up with a plan of action on how my pregnancy will be monitored.  I was a little scared to see her cause last time she basically said that my OB has the equipment to do sono’s so he would do the same thing she would.  I get an appt 2 days after my OB appt thankfully and I was pleasantly surprised that she remembered me.  She asked how my husband was and how engineering was treating us.  I guess I was surprised that any dr would remember any patient since they see so many.  My hubby said I was prob that much of a pain in the ass but I said it was my charming personality.  Anyway she was totally on board to monitor me and I thought it would be bi-weekly and she said nope weekly starting at 16 weeks which shocked me.  I didnt think I would need to be monitored that closely and not that I am complaining and she explained that she did not want what happened with Olivia to happen again and I felt she was being truly genuine when she said that.  She wanted to insure that this baby would not suffer the same fate even though I trust my TAC 100%.  She also recommended weekly p17 injections starting at 16 weeks.  I did not suffer from pre-term labor last time and I had true IC which is dilation with no contractions but she said its best to do anything and everything possible to make my uterus and cervix comfortable.  I will do whatever it takes to have a healthy baby.  I am happy that I have such a supportive team around me and they want to do everything they can to make sure that our baby is born term and healthy.

Tomorrow I have my NT bloodwork screening and a sonogram.  I hope the baby is growing nice and healthy.

  1. I’m glad they are keeping such a good eye on you and baby. Even if they go overboard a bit, I think it will do wonders for your nerves! I hope you have an easy, full term pregnancy this time. I really think you will.:)

  2. I’m sure it was your charming personality! I’m so glad you had a good experience with the MFM specialist.
