Any fashion stylists out there willing to help a style noob???

As I was looking at my wardrobe I was just staring at how boring it is.  I wear the same jeans, sneakers and shirts everyday and would love to spice things up a bit but still be me.  I started looking for fashion help via websites and even programs where you can sign up and get the help of a stylist for a fee.  Then I thought hey maybe I can post on my blog and maybe someone would be willing to help me out of the goodness of their heart.  I have read some great style blogs and was hoping that someone would take interest in helping.

I have never heard of this so maybe this is something new I am creating but why cant I take pictures of my myself in what I normally would wear for work, casual and date nights plus my overall wardrobe that along with pictures of myself/measurements would help a stylist be able to pick out certain things from stores online.  The whole stylizing could be done online?

Any thoughts or takers???

  1. This sounds interesting. I mean you can start putting up post with the clothes you will style together (you don’t have to wear them) and the general community can give you feedback? I’m more than happy to be one of the many who will reply 😀 Keep us posted! x

Hi! My name is Sophie and I would be more than happy to help you 🙂 I am not a stylist by trade but am hoping to do something along these lines when I finish university. I study Fashion, have worked as an assistant stylist at a fashion show and have done a bit of my own styling for some lookbook posts also. I used to work in a boutique doing personal shopping for people looking for outfits to suit a variety of occasions. If there is any way I can help I would love to 🙂 x

Hi Sophie!!!! Thank you so much… When I wrote the post I had not thought of how I would get help lol. Now thinking about it what if I posted a couple of stores that I would shop from which also has online selections and with a budget maybe I could buy them and see how they look?

  3. Do you have Instagram? I follow a few people/bloggers there that have great style, and some of them pride themselves on being budget-friendly! Also, Stitch Fix is something to look into, I have a few posts about that 🙂 Good Luck!
