So we went Apple picking last weekend and the one place we wanted to go to out east was closed 😦 probably due to the weather that we were having in NYC since Joaquin was threatening to hit the east coast. We found a new place and it was really expensive $43 per 20lb/ bag. Since it was really cold that day the place was pretty empty which was nice and Eric enjoyed eating apples most of the day. He just learned the word apple so that is all he was saying. We brought our radio flyer and he loved just being pulled. It was a fun time and I have enjoyed baking some yummy fall items like apple sauce and apple cake. We also went to a farm stand next door and had fresh potato chips made to order with white, sweet and purple potatoes, pumpkin & cider donuts and fresh roasted corn. Overall it was a fun time and will be a yearly outing.
Before Eric I would decorate the house a bit more and have more decorations all around but since he likes to get into everything I am limited in being able to only put decorations that are outside his reach. The house is still decorated and I still did the outside but its more tame. I am not looking forward to Christmas and Eric trying to pull down the ornaments which means we may need to put a gate around the tree.
So this weekend I will bake some yummy fall treats to use up the rest of the apples and we will be visiting a pumpkin patch which will have a hayride so more items to cross off my fall bucket list.
