Eric’s 2nd Birthday Party- Transportation Theme!!!

So the theme for my son’s 2nd birthday was transportation since Eric loves all things that move.

I used this book as a sign in so guests could write well wishes to him and then when he gets older he can look at them plus its an AMAZING book to read even as an adult

I kept the dessert table simple with print outs of various things that move

The table was also simple with a black table plastic table cover and I used white electrical tape to resemble a street

I made this stop light bean bag toss game  to keep with the theme. Its a simple black paper and rounds cut outs of  red, yellow and green.  I made the bean bags using felt and beans in a plastic bag.  I hot glued it together and voila cheap bean bags.

I made the banner with a things that move background and cut out pennants.

Another easy dessert in keeping with the theme was rice krispie treats with m&m’s afixed to theme to resemble a stop light.

I thought that this would be a fun way to showcase how old my son was with just balloons taped to the door in the shape of 2.

I taped white paper to a coffee table and used this area for the kids to be able to draw on it and also for me to not worry about kids drawing on other surfaces.

I used a local baker to make the cake match the theme of the party and she matched the invitation.  The cake was yummy!!!  It was chocolate cake with nutella and banana filling.  She also made a cupcake to match so that Eric could blow out the candle on that one.

This was the invitation I found on Etsy which fit the theme perfect

Overall the party was a success and everyone had a fun time!!!  Eric loved playing with all the kids and just enjoying his birthday!!!  I cannot believe my little baby is now a toddler.
