French Macaron = Mild Pinterest Success?

So I have always wanted to make french macaron’s since they are just so delicious to eat and expensive to buy.  I have purchased them for up to $4 a cookie!!!!  So I thought why not try to make them since the worst that could happen is that they suck.  I went to trusty pinterest to find the easiest and step-by-step instructions out there plus I looked on youtube as well.

Here is my attempt at making them and I am pretty proud of myself.  I made chocolate and raspberry preserve macarons.  They are not the prettiest and I would definitely not pay $4 for them but they tasted great.  I think I did not mix them enough since all the tips warned that over mixing would cause issues.

Dude they look awesome! I have never actually tried one because I refuse to pay $4 for a teeny cookie hahaha.
